Submit a completed application to FMU.
Pay a non-refundable application fee.
Official Transcripts
High school transcript is required (showing completion of secondary education).
If the student has attended any other college(s), those transcripts must also be submitted.
Standardized Test Scores
SAT or ACT scores are required for many freshman applicants.
If the applicant has fewer than 22 transferable college credit hours, test scores and high school data are necessary.
Preparatory Coursework
Freshmen must have completed certain college preparatory high school courses:
English (4 units) with composition and literature components.
Mathematics: Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, plus a higher-level math in senior year.
Laboratory Sciences (3 units) with at least two in different fields (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
Foreign Language (2 units of the same language) and one unit of Fine Arts; Social Sciences units including U.S. History.
Transfer Students
For those with at least 22 transferable college credit hours, requirement of minimum GPA of 2.0 across transferable coursework.
Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended.
International Students
Must show proficiency in English. The equivalent of U.S. high school credentials.
Must submit high school transcripts, often with test scores.
