What are the application requirements for undergraduate applications?

1. International students applying for undergraduate programmes at Furtwangen University must possess a recognized higher education entrance qualification equivalent to the German Abitur or university entrance qualification. 2. Non EU applicants are required to submit academic transcripts, school-leaving certificates, a valid passport copy, a tabular CV, and proof of language proficiency depending on the programme language. 3. For German taught programmes, German language certificates such as TestDaF, DSH, or equivalent are usually required. 4. Applicants must apply through HFU’s online application portal (MIO), and some programmes may also require registration through Hochschulstart.de. 5. Additional documents such as proof of internships, extracurricular achievements, vocational training, or work experience can strengthen the application for admission-restricted programmes. 6. The standard application deadlines for undergraduate programmes are 15 July for the Winter Semester and 15 January for the Summer Semester.

International students applying for postgraduate programmes at Furtwangen University must hold a recognized bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification relevant to the chosen master’s programme. 2. Applicants are generally required to submit academic transcripts, degree certificates, a copy of their passport, a CV/resume, and a motivation letter. 3. For English taught master’s programmes, students must provide proof of English language proficiency through tests such as IELTS, TOEFL, or equivalent certifications. 4. German taught programmes require German language proficiency through exams such as TestDaF, DSH, or equivalent qualifications. Applications are submitted through HFU’s official online application portal (MIO), and programme specific deadlines vary depending on the course and intake semester. 5. Non EU international students are usually required to pay tuition fees of approximately €1,500 per semester in addition to semester contribution charges.
