1. Academic Qualifications:

A completed secondary school diploma (high school equivalent) recognized by the Swiss authorities.

Official transcripts from previous education.

2. Portfolio:

A portfolio of creative work is the most critical component. It should demonstrate artistic ability, originality, conceptual thinking, and technical skills relevant to the chosen field (e.g., fine arts, design, fashion, film).

3. Language Proficiency:

Programs are taught primarily in French. Some master's programs may offer courses in English.

Non-native French speakers must provide proof of proficiency (e.g., DELF B2, DALF C1, or equivalent).

For English-taught courses: IELTS (typically 6.0+) or TOEFL (80+ iBT) may be required.

4. Entrance Exam/Interview:

Eligible candidates are often invited for an interview or practical entrance exam to assess motivation, creativity, and alignment with HEAD’s pedagogical approach.

5. Application Documents:

Completed online application form.

Letter of motivation (in French or English, depending on the program).

CV/resume outlining artistic/design experience.

Copy of passport and passport-sized photos.

6. Visa and Residency Permit:

Non-EU/EFTA students must apply for a Swiss student visa and residency permit after admission. HEAD provides guidance but does not handle visa issuance.
