Key admission requirements for Bachelor's programs at the German University in Cairo (GUC):

Recognized High School Certificate
You must hold a valid secondary certificate—such as Thanaweya Amma (Egyptian), Abitur, IGCSE/GCSE, American High School Diploma (SAT), IB, French Baccalauréat, or another equivalent recognized by the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities 

**Minimum Grades in Qualifying Subjects**
For Engineering: strong performance in Math (including Advanced Math), Physics, Chemistry, and English.
For Pharmacy/Biotechnology: proficiency in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Math, and English.
For Management, Design, Law, etc.: English plus at least five other relevant subjects (e.g. Math, Economics, Computer Science, Arts) 

Entrance Tests: Reasoning & English
All applicants must pass GUC’s computerized Reasoning Test (inductive/deductive logic) and an English Language Test (including listening, reading, and usage) during the admission stage 

Program-Specific Requirements

For Design/Applied Sciences: submit a portfolio and attend an aptitude/drawing test on campus.

For Civil or Architecture Engineering: select the program at application; final acceptance is based on available slots.

For Law: pass an Arabic proficiency exam and interpersonal skills assessment 

Required Documentation
Submit original, certified and officially stamped documents like your high school diploma and transcripts (stamped by relevant bodies such as school, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and embassy). Also required: birth certificate, 6 passport photos, and for Egyptian males, the military service form (Namouzag 2) 

English & German Placement Exams (post-admission)
After enrollment, students take placement tests in English and Scientific Methods to determine foundation course levels. Those with prior German exposure may also undergo a German placement test to potentially skip initial levels
