To apply for an undergraduate course, you need to be signed up to UCAS and follow their application process. The institution code for Hartpury is H22. While the first UCAS deadline for applications is in mid-January, it is best to apply as soon as you have made your decision. Entry requirements, including UCAS points, vary depending on the course, and specific details can be found on the relevant course page on the Hartpury website.
International applicants need to submit an application form along with recent school reports, academic achievements, predicted grades where possible, and English language assessment results such as IELTS if applicable. Each application is reviewed individually, and if you meet the entry criteria, you will be invited to an interview conducted over the phone or via Skype, lasting approximately 30 to 40 minutes. If successful, you will receive an offer that includes an acceptance form, a pro-forma invoice for fees, and an accommodation booking form.
Hartpury offers self-catered halls of residence both on its rural campus and at Blackfriars in Gloucester city centre. On-campus accommodation provides an excellent living environment in the Gloucestershire countryside, just steps away from lectures. Blackfriars offers modern living spaces and en-suite rooms in the heart of Gloucester, about 15 minutes away by bus, with costs including free high-speed internet, contents insurance, and utility bills. Accommodation is guaranteed in the first year for undergraduate students, and there are 389 rooms available on campus.
Living on-site is a great way to meet people, and you will quickly find yourself settling into your accommodation block like it is home. You can apply for accommodation from the end of March, and rooms are allocated in May to students who have put Hartpury as their firm choice. A £160 holding deposit is required when accepting the offer of a campus bed, and payments can be made in three termly instalments or ten monthly instalments. Wi-Fi, student parking, utilities, 24/7 residential support, and basic contents insurance are included.
If you do not have a UK or Republic of Ireland passport, you will likely need to obtain a Student visa to study at Hartpury. You will need a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from Hartpury to support your visa application, and a CAS can only be issued up to six months before your course start date. Before your CAS can be issued, you must have an unconditional offer and pay a deposit towards your first-year tuition fees. The International Admissions Team will guide you through the process using the CAS Shield platform, where you upload and verify your supporting documents.
