Hirosaki, Japan
Applicants must take and pass entrance examinations and an interview conducted by Hirosaki University.
For international / foreign students, the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) is required in the year before application.
Because most undergraduate classes are taught in Japanese, a high level of Japanese ability is required.
The university selects students via a “comprehensive examination” which includes: academic achievement, interviews, EJU results, and submission of reports / surveys.
In the School of Medicine, admission also involves:
• Application documents
• The National Center Test for University Admissions
• Written exam (mock lecture, case study)
• Interview to assess aptitude as a healthcare professional.
