Applicants must submit required documents including: recommendation letters, statement of purpose (motivation), transcripts from previous degree(s), and other materials.
For the Master’s (first half program) in engineering / science disciplines:
• Some admission paths are through internal recommendation — i.e. recommended by the university.
• Others are through external recommendation or general selection.
For some programs, a minimum GPA requirement (e.g., cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher) is expected for students (especially those applying internally or from designated tracks).
The graduate admission process also specifies the application schedule, number of seats, exam dates, and examination subjects.
Applicants must also pay the entrance / registration fees and follow the formal exam schedule.
There are separate categories and requirements for international student admissions, which may involve proof of Japanese language proficiency or equivalent qualifications.
