Everything You Need to Know About Application Requirements at Hiroshima University

For entry into master’s (graduate) programs at Hiroshima University:

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent recognized qualification) from a recognized university. 

In some cases, preliminary evaluations of admission qualifications are required before formal application, especially in engineering / informatics / data science programs. 

Applicants must submit a research proposal / statement of purpose, recommendation letters, transcripts, and other documents as per the department’s requirements. 

English language proficiency is often checked; for certain programs, a TOEFL score or other English test result is required (or an equivalent certificate). 

For research students (non-degree status), qualifying requirements include completing 16 years of formal education or being recognized as having equivalent qualifications, and securing approval from a supervisor.
