Submit the Common Application (or Houghton’s application) along with required application materials. 

Provide official high school transcripts, showing coursework and GPA. 

Submit standardized test scores (SAT or ACT), if required or optional (Houghton considers test scores when submitted). 

Meet a competitive high school GPA (Houghton accepts around a 3.25 average, or B average) as part of admissions evaluation. 

For transfer students: transcripts from previously attended colleges, good academic standing, requirement of a minimum GPA at prior institutions. 

Meet any course prerequisites / general education readiness required by major or program (e.g. foundational courses) as dictated by the major audit sheets. 

Provide additional materials: essays / personal statements, recommendation letters, letters of intent (if requested). (While the undergraduate admission page doesn’t detail all of these, these are typical in liberal arts undergraduate admissions.) 

For international applicants: English proficiency (TOEFL / IELTS or equivalent), credential evaluation of foreign transcripts, proof of financial support. (Though not strongly detailed on the undergraduate page, standard practice for international admission applies.)
