Several Bachelor's programmes are offered fully in English, including Autonomous Vehicle Engineering, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, and Engineering and Management, requiring only a B2 English certificate for enrolment

How can I apply for a Bachelor's programme at THI as an international student?

If you have acquired your university entrance qualification abroad, you must apply through the uni-assist portal. A step-by-step guide is available on the THI website. Please note that applicants with previous education from China, India, or Vietnam must also provide an APS certificate

What are the ECTS credit requirements for admission to a Master's programme?

Generally, you need a Bachelor's degree with at least 210 ECTS credit points for access to THI's Master's programmes

Does THI offer scholarships, and how can I apply?

Yes, the most prominent is the Deutschlandstipendium (Germany Scholarship), which supports high-performing students with up to 300 euros per month.

What are the tuition fees for students from non-EU countries?

For the summer term 2026 onwards, THI charges tuition fees of 800 euros per semester for Bachelor's programmes and 1,200 euros per semester for Master's programmes for students from third countries (non-EU, non-EEA).

Does THI have its own student dormitories?

No, THI does not have its own student dormitories on its campus. This is common in Germany, where official student accommodation exists but is operated by external organisations like the Studierendenwerk

What is the monthly rent for a student apartment in Ingolstadt?

You should expect to budget between 350 and 500 euros per month for your housing costs. Accommodation prices in Ingolstadt are in line with the city's living standards.

What should I do about my visa before it expires?
