You’ll need: Completed IMU application form Class 10 & 12 transcripts (or bachelor’s transcripts for graduate applicants) Birth certificate and passport copy Passport-size photos Personal bank statement Foreigner Physical Examination Form and recent medical test results (e.g., HIV test) Non-criminal record certificate (issued within the last six months) Study plan and two recommendation letters (graduate programs only)
IMU first screens all applications—and may conduct interviews—then forwards recommended candidates to the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Education Department and the National Scholarship Council for final approval. Successful applicants receive an official invitation (admission) letter.
Use the invitation letter to complete an online Chinese visa (X-type) application. Submit the printed visa form plus your passport, admission letter, medical certificates, and any other required documents to the nearest Chinese embassy or consulate to obtain your student visa.
