Jacobs University also known as Jacobs University Bremen, JU Bremen, and JU is a German higher education establishment located in Bremen. The university was established as International University Bremen or IUB in 1999 and adopted its present name in 2007 after the Jacobs Foundation invested EUR 200 Million in 2006. The university currently enrols over 1500 students.
