Established in 2001, Jacobs University is located in Bremmen, Germany. It is an English-speaking higher education institution and combines aspects from the American and German academic system.

The university offers various programs at undergraduate, graduate and PhD level which focus on Mobility of People, Goods & Information, Health and Diversity in Modern Societies. It offers programs in Business, Engineering, Psychology, Social Sciences, International Relations, Life Sciences, Mathematics and Physics. Jacobs University also offers foundation level and preparatory courses leading to a Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree program. The university offers 15 Bachelor’s programs and 8 Graduate programs.

The university campus is spread over 80 acres. It is home to four residential colleges: Alfried Krupp College, Mercator College, College 3, and College Nordmetall. Psychology explores human experience and behavior, and develops proposals for how best conditions can be created so that people can maximize their potential for mental health, performance and quality of life as fully as possible. Two major changes in our society are the growing diversity due to globalization and the resulting influx of people of different cultural backgrounds and demographic change. These developments offer great opportunities as well as challenges for living together. The aim of the course of studies is to prepare for a psychologically qualified professional activity under these conditions.

Letter of Motivation, Curriculum vitae (CV), University transcript in English or German, Bachelor s degree certificate or equivalent (may be handed in later), Non-native German speakers applying for the MSc Psychologie need to provide a German language proficiency test, English language proficiency test with a minimum score of 72 (TOEFL) or 5.5 (IELTS). Alternatively, students may submit a confirmation from their previous university that their education was conducted in English.

The MSc in Psychology qualifies as an independent psychologist and prepares for leading tasks in the fields of health, social and education, science, administration and industry. Possible areas of activity are: psychological diagnostics, counseling, training and psychotherapy in various fields of practice, the implementation and evaluation of psychologically sound measures in various areas, as well as the planning, implementation, evaluation and presentation of scientific studies.
