Everything You Need to Know About Application Requirements at John Brown University

JBU is test-optional: SAT, ACT, or CLT scores may be submitted but are not required. 

Assured admission is offered to first-time students with a high school GPA ≥ 3.0 (on 4.0 scale). 

For students with GPA between 2.5 and 2.99, assured admission may be given if test scores meet certain thresholds (ACT ≥ 20, SAT ≥ 1020, or CLT ≥ 63) 

Applicants must submit an official high school transcript, with at least six semesters of graded coursework. 

Application fee: US$ 25 for both domestic and international students (fee waivers may be requested). 

For those opting not to submit test scores (i.e. test-optional path), JBU may request additional materials (writing samples, references) to evaluate the application.
