For students, by students, is the motto of the Jönköping Student Union. In many facets of student life and at the institution, the union protects the interests of the students. Students benefit greatly from the Student Union, which organizes events and field excursions, manages numerous projects, and has a significant impact on the standard of instruction. All Jönköping University students are required to join the Jönköping Student Union. For students who pay tuition, the student union charge is covered by their tuition; however, all other students must pay the membership price individually.With about 146,000 residents, Jönköping is the ninth largest city in Sweden.
