You must hold a secondary school (high-school) diploma or equivalent that allows you to apply for university in your home country.
You are required to provide notarised translations of your passport and educational documents (diploma and transcript) into Russian, if applicable.
Applicants must pass entrance exams administered by the university (for many programmes, online exams are available).
If you apply to a Russian-taught programme and your language proficiency in Russian is insufficient, you may have to complete the Preparatory School (foundation course) to reach the required level.
Typical admission schedule: For the 2025/26 cycle, registration of documents runs approx. June 20–July 15 for budget-funded places; for contract places, online registration often April 1–August 2.
