Khalifa University Background:
Khalifa University is a public university which was established in the year 2007 and is located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The university is a science-focused university with a satellite campus in Sharjah. The university was established by a decree issued by UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Khalifa University was established in an effort to support a knowledge-based economy that will contribute to the state’s post-oil future.

Khalifa University Programs, Courses, and Schools:
Khalifa University comprises three colleges; College of Arts and Science, College of Engineering, and the College of Medicine and Health Sciences. All these colleges offer a variety of Undergraduate, Graduate, and Ph.D. programs to the students. The three original undergraduate degree programs offered by Khalifa University (Communication, Computer, and Electronic Engineering) have been awarded accreditation by the Institution of Engineering and Technology.

Khalifa University Campus:
Khalifa University plans to build a new campus near the current campus of Abu Dhabi. The new campus would be 80 hectares in size and allow enrollment to increase up to 6,000 students. The new campus will house a medical school, state of the art labs, a student hub, and sporting facilities. The university also comprises a library which is located on the first floor and offers computers, scanners, photocopying services, study rooms and study carrels to the students.

Khalifa University Achievements:
Khalifa University was ranked 1st overall in the United Arab Emirates and 1st in the Arab Region in the category of “research” and “industry income’ according to Times Higher Education (THE) world university rankings and also was ranked 2nd overall in the Arab World.

The Student Hub at Khalifa University’s Abu Dhabi campus offers students a comfortable area to relax between classes, get homework done, or have a coffee with friends. The Student Hub is located on the ground floor of the library building (next to the Khalifa University Discovery Center) and includes restaurant services, homework tables, and comfortable benches.
