External students should select "Enrolment Declaration for External Foreign | International Student," while internal students must choose either "Registration Certificate for Foreign | International Student" or "Enrolment Declaration for Foreign | International Student." To request any document, your financial situation must be regularised, including payment of the registration fee, enrolment fee, school insurance, and the first two tuition instalments. After payment, the declaration may take up to 10 working days to be issued.
The university provides guidance through CLAIM – Local Support Centre for Migrant Integration, which offers assistance to international students on legal and administrative matters including visas, migration processes, and family reunification. All students, teachers and researchers who are not citizens of a European Union country and wish to study, work or conduct research in Portugal must obtain the appropriate visa. The university also holds International Student Welcome Sessions where students are guided on essential bureaucratic aspects such as visas and migration processes.
