Master’s (MSc) Program — Admission Criteria

Academic Qualification: A relevant Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or IT from a recognized institution. Minimum CGPA is 3.0/4.0 or equivalent (e.g., second class upper)  .

English Proficiency: Minimum TOEFL iBT score of 91 or IELTS (academic) score of 6.5. Native English speakers may be eligible for waivers  .

GRE Requirements:

The GRE General Test is recommended, particularly the Quantitative section.

Required score is 700 (old scale) or 155 (new scale).

Applications may still be considered without GRE, but conditional admission applies, contingent upon retaking GRE before enrollment or passing a placement exam  .

Additional Requirements:

Statement of Objectives (SoO): A well-crafted 1–2 page essay detailing research motivations and alignment with the institute’s goals  .

Three Letters of Recommendation from academic or professional references  .

A detailed CV or resume  .

Application Cycle:

Application period typically runs from November 1 to May 31, with studies commencing in September  .

Doctoral (PhD) Program — Admission Criteria

Academic Qualification: Requires a Bachelor’s plus Master’s degree in a relevant field with:

Undergraduate CGPA ≥ 3.0/4.0

Master’s CGPA ≥ 3.2/4.0

Exception for applicants awaiting Master’s completion, who should indicate expected graduation date  .

English Proficiency: Same as for MSc—TOEFL iBT ≥ 91 or IELTS ≥ 6.5  .

GRE Requirements:

GRE is required; same scores expected.

No conditional admissions: applicants without GRE may only qualify if they have at least two publications in peer-reviewed venues  .

Additional Requirements:

Statement of Objectives (SoO).

Research Proposal, outlining intended research scope, methodology, and potential faculty supervision  .

Three Recommendation Letters.

CV / Resume.
