Application & Academic Credentials
Prospective students must submit a completed application (via McKendree’s own portal or Common App) along with official secondary/high school transcripts. All documents must be translated into English.
English Language Proficiency
International applicants must demonstrate English proficiency using one of the following standardized tests (minimum scores):
IELTS: 6.0
TOEFL iBT: 70 (or PBT 520; CBT 190)
Duolingo English Test: 90
PTE Academic: 52
SAT Critical Reading: 500
ACT English: 20
Applicants may alternatively meet this requirement through completion of an equivalent English course (e.g., ENG 111), successful participation in an approved Intensive English Program, or holding a diploma from certain English-speaking countries.
Academic Performance
A minimum high school GPA of around 2.5 on a 4.0 scale is generally expected SAT or ACT scores are optional and considered only if submitted; they are not required for admission or scholarship consideration.
Supporting Documents
Applicants should provide a copy of their passport and financial documentation to prove they can support tuition and living expenses. Optional materials like an essay, personal statement, or letters of recommendation may bolster an application, particularly for scholarship consideration.
