1. International students applying for a postgraduate programme at MetFilm School Berlin must be 18 years or older when the programme begins and normally hold a 2:2 honours degree or an overseas equivalent.

2. For applicants from India, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 55% is currently listed as the academic requirement.

3. Applicants must also submit a personal statement of at least 500 words explaining their motivation and suitability for the programme.

4. Applicants apply directly to MetFilm School online and are required to provide a valid passport, updated CV, creative portfolio (which may include film work, photography, creative writing, scripts or business proposals), and, where applicable, their degree certificate and academic transcripts.

5. A professional industry reference may be required for applicants who do not meet the standard academic requirement.

6. Applicants with relevant professional experience but without the required degree may still be considered under alternative entry provisions.

7. For English proficiency, international postgraduate applicants to the Berlin campus normally require IELTS 6.5 overall, with at least 6.5 in writing and 5.5 in listening, reading and speaking, or an accepted equivalent.

8. International applicants may alternatively provide evidence that their previous bachelor’s degree was taught entirely in English, subject to MetFilm School’s assessment. EU/EEA nationals do not normally need to provide an English\language certificate.
