To apply for undergraduate (Bachelor’s) programmes, you must have completed a secondary education qualification that gives you eligibility for higher education in your home country (such as a high school diploma or equivalent). This is checked during the application process to ensure you meet Finnish higher education entry standards.  

Typical required documents include:

Secondary school diploma/certificate with transcript

Proof of English proficiency (see below)

Passport or ID copy

Any additional documents specified by the degree programme (sometimes portfolios or interviews for design/art programmes)  

For English-taught programmes, you will usually need to demonstrate English proficiency. Accepted forms of evidence (varies by programme and year) include recognised tests such as:

IELTS Academic

TOEFL iBT

PTE Academic

Cambridge English certificates
