Its Main consist of Building houses, lecture halls, the Main Study Hall, the library, the concert hall, rector’s office, and a large number of study and laboratory rooms. Two passages connect into the Laboratory Building and the New Building. Also, it provides students with Dormitory it is a four-story corridor-type building. The sports complex is included in the overall MIPT Educational and Research Complex and is used for training in physical education.

In the history 10 of its professors and alumni have been awarded Nobel Prize, the most recent one being given in 2010 for discovering graphene.
