The Munster Technological University (MTU) Bishopstown Campus features modern and extensive infrastructure designed to support teaching, research, innovation, and student life. Spread across an approximately 80-acre campus in Cork, it includes lecture theatres, laboratories, engineering workshops, computer suites, drawing studios, research centres, open-access computing facilities, student services offices, and industry support centres. The campus serves as the main academic hub for programmes in business, science, computing, engineering, media communications, and humanities.
A major highlight of the campus infrastructure is the MTU Arena, a state-of-the-art multi-purpose facility officially opened in 2023. The arena includes a 1,340-square-metre sports hall, two fitness studios, a café, and a 600-square-metre gym, and is used for sporting events, conferences, graduations, examinations, careers fairs, and community activities. The €13 million development is one of several major infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing the student experience.
