The Bachelor's program at ENTPE focuses on sciences and engineering for sustainable construction and territories. It trains students in sustainable civil engineering, construction, transport and mobility, territorial planning, and public policy, preparing them for careers in the ecological and solidarity-based transition of territories.
The Bachelor's program at ENTPE is taught primarily in French. International applicants are required to demonstrate a strong command of the French language, typically at the B2 level, to successfully follow the courses and integrate into student life.
International students must follow the specific application procedure for their country of origin through the "Études en France" platform managed by Campus France. They are also required to submit their academic transcripts, a motivation letter, and proof of French language proficiency at the B2 level or higher.
ENTPE is located in Vaulx-en-Velin in the Lyon Metropolis, on the same campus as the National School of Architecture of Lyon. The campus is well-connected to Lyon city center and offers a human-scale environment with numerous facilities including a swimming pool, tennis courts, a gymnasium, and a university restaurant.
ENTPE has reserved places in student residences right next to the campus through an agreement with Est Métropole Habitat, offering very attractive value for money. Other options include the Résidence des arts, Résidence Carré de Soie, and Résidence Verchères, all located within walking distance or a short commute from the campus.
After graduating from ENTPE, international students can apply for the "Recherche d'emploi / Création d'entreprise" temporary residence permit, which allows them to stay in France for up to one year to seek employment or start a business in their field of study. This permit is available to students who have obtained a master's level degree or equivalent.
Students who complete the Bachelor's program and wish to continue their studies in France can apply for a student residence permit renewal to pursue a Master's program. For those who wish to work immediately, they must secure a job offer and apply for a work permit, as the one-year job-seeking visa is typically reserved for Master's level graduates.
