NSU's permanent campus is situated in the Bashundhara Residential Area of Dhaka, spanning 5.5 acres. The campus comprises six buildings with three basements, totaling approximately 1,250,000 square feet of floor space. It is designed to accommodate up to 22,000 students and includes state-of-the-art facilities such as modern classrooms, laboratories, a fully automated library, sports and recreation centers, and student lounges. The campus layout is meticulously planned to provide an optimal learning environment and foster a vibrant academic community

NSU is organized into several schools and departments to offer a diverse range of programs:​ 1. School of Business and Economics (SBE): Departments include Accounting & Finance, Economics, Management, and Marketing & International Business.​ 2. School of Engineering & Physical Sciences (SEPS): Departments such as Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, and Civil & Environmental Engineering.​ 3. School of Health and Life Sciences: Programs in Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Environmental Science & Management, Microbiology, and Pharmacy.​ 4. School of Humanities & Social Sciences: Departments offering programs in English, Media and Journalism, and Law.​ Additionally, NSU houses institutes like the NSU Global Health Institute (NGHI), NSU Genome Research Institute (NGRI), and the Confucius Institute, which contribute to research and specialized education.
