Old Dominion University (ODU) requires international students to submit a web-based application, official academic transcripts, evidence of financial support, and proof of English language ability in order to be considered for undergraduate admission. Direct submission of all paperwork to the Office of International Admissions is required. Official Transcripts: All secondary schools and institutions you have attended must submit official academic records, or transcripts. An authentic, word-for-word translation into English must be included with any transcripts that are not in English. Instead of being validated by the student or a family member, translations must be approved by a school official or a recognized translation agency. Evaluation of Transcripts: ODU evaluates international credentials internally. Your submitted third-party assessments will only be translated into English. Standardized Tests: Although not required for all applicants, you are free to submit your SAT or ACT results if you so desire. Your high school transcript and other proven experience will be used to evaluate your application if you apply without test results.
International students must fill out the online application, pay the application fee, submit academic transcripts, demonstrate their English proficiency (e.g., by taking the TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE), and submit their GRE or GMAT results (if required by their program) in order to apply for a postgraduate program at Old Dominion University. Certain GRE/GMAT scores or a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.25 are examples of specific program criteria that might be applicable. Foreign applicants must submit their results from one of the following tests to prove their English language proficiency: TOEFL score of 79 or above IELTS: at least a 6.5 overall band PTE: 53 or above Duolingo: at least 120
