Peking Union Medical College (PUMC) – Bachelor’s Admission Requirements for International Students
1. General Eligibility
Age: Must be 18 years or older by the time of enrollment.
Nationality: Must be a foreign citizen. Applicants who were previously Chinese citizens must have officially renounced their citizenship and lived outside China for at least two years.
2. Academic Requirements
High School Graduation: Applicants must hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
Academic Performance: Strong academic background and national entrance exam scores (if applicable).
PUMC Entrance Exam: Some undergraduate programs may require applicants to pass the PKU Entrance Examination, which includes:
Chinese Language
English
Mathematics
General Knowledge Test: Score of 180 or higher required for certain programs.
3. Language Proficiency
Chinese-Taught Programs:
New HSK Level 6 with a score of 180+ required.
English-Taught Programs:
TOEFL iBT: Minimum 75
IELTS Academic: Minimum 6.5
4. Health & Conduct
Must be in good physical and mental health.
Must provide a police clearance certificate (no criminal record).
5. Required Documents
Valid passport.
High school transcripts and diploma (notarized and translated if not in English/Chinese).
HSK, TOEFL, or IELTS certificate, depending on language of instruction.
Medical certificate (physical examination record).
Recommendation letters, if requested.
