The below information is required while
completing the university application :
Students must complete at least 120 semester hours of approved coursework to earn a bachelor’s degree.
General Education Core:
All undergraduates must fulfill the EDGE Core Curriculum, which includes courses in humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, quantitative reasoning, and writing proficiency.
Major Requirement:
Students must declare a major by the end of their sophomore year and complete all major-specific courses with a minimum GPA (usually 2.0 or higher).
Residency Requirement:
At least two full years of coursework must be completed at Randolph-Macon College.
Academic Standing:
Students must maintain satisfactory academic progress, including a cumulative GPA of 2.00 or above, to remain eligible for graduation.

In February 2019, a design project in the Introduction to Engineering Physics course at RMC tasked students with creating a hydraulic lift powered by mousetraps (and syringes) or a mousetrap-powered boat to understand design process, mechanics, and fluid/static equilibrium.
In the summer of 2018, students in the Schapiro Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) program at RMC worked in Dr. John Thoburn’s chemistry lab on supramolecular cubes made of porphyrin walls and iron cation corners, which can encapsulate “guest” molecules. This research explored designing cubes that open under light activation and could hold quantum dots for oxygen sensing.
During the summer of 2017–18, RMC students under Professor John McManus investigated unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs, i.e., drones) equipped with Raspberry Pi and custom sensor mounts, aiming to build a low-cost modular drone sensor package for environmental data collection
