1. Academic Requirements

Completion of Australian Year 12 or an international equivalent such as:

International Baccalaureate (IB)

A-Levels (UK curriculum)

Indian Senior Secondary Certificate (CBSE/ISC)

American High School Diploma (with SAT/ACT if required)

A minimum ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admission Rank) or equivalent score (varies by program).

Some programs have prerequisite subjects (e.g., Mathematics for Engineering, Biology/Chemistry for Health Sciences).

2. English Language Proficiency

International students must meet minimum English requirements, proven by one of the following:

IELTS: Overall 6.5 (no band less than 6.0).

TOEFL iBT: Minimum 79 (with Writing 21).

PTE Academic: Minimum 58 (no section below 50).

Cambridge English (C1 Advanced): Overall 176, with no band below 169.

Duolingo English Test (DET): Minimum 110.

Exemptions: Students who studied in an English-speaking institution for at least two years may qualify for a waiver.

3. Required Documents

Completed online application (via RMIT Application Portal or through an authorized agent).

Official high school transcripts (translated if not in English).

Proof of English proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, etc.).

Copy of passport (for visa processing).

Personal statement (for selected courses).

Portfolio or auditions (for creative programs like Fashion, Architecture, and Design).

4. Additional Requirements (if applicable)

Interviews for competitive courses (e.g., Law, Journalism).

Work experience or prior learning recognition (for advanced entry into some programs).

Pathway/Foundation Programs: If students don’t meet direct entry requirements, they can take an RMIT Foundation Studies Program.
