RSU offers on-campus housing in University Village A, B, and C complexes. All units are furnished and provide a great balance of privacy and economy. In order to be eligible to apply for a housing contract, RSU students must be currently enrolled or planning to enroll full time (12 credit hours).

Optional Practical Training (OPT) allows F-1 students to apply for employment authorization to work for one year following completion of a degree in their field of study. Students can apply up to 90 days before completion of their program. To apply for OPT, students must gather all required information and bring it to the International Advisor, complete Form I-765, and submit documents including a copy of I-94, a copy of the last EAD if applicable, two identical color photographs, and pay a fee of $410 to the Department of Homeland Security. A new I-20 will be printed showing the OPT request, which the student must sign and submit with Form I-765.
