Students from the University of the West of Scotland share their campus in Ayr, which has been distinguished internationally for its ecologically friendly design with the BREEAM excellent grade. The 260-hectare working estate that houses their Barony campus is located in the undulating Dumfries and Galloway region of South West Scotland. The Scottish Forestry Technology Centre and the Scottish Dairy Technology Centre are both located on campus. The third-largest city in Scotland, Aberdeen, is roughly five miles from SRUC Aberdeen's location on the Craibstone Estate. In addition to residence halls and a library, the campus offers a variety of athletic possibilities. Just nine miles from St Andrews, in North East Fife, sits SRUC Elmwood. It is conveniently accessible by rail, bus, and automobile. In Springfield, which is close by, they also have an 18-hole golf course. Their Oatridge campus is located in the West Lothian countryside on a 283-hectare estate that includes a working farm. It is conveniently close to the road system. In the stunning greenhouses of Queen's Park in Glasgow's southside, SRUC provides courses in horticulture and garden design.
