For first-year / traditional students (College for Women):
Must have graduated from an accredited high school or earned a GED.
Submit high school transcript(s) showing coursework and grades.
Letters of recommendation (one or more).
Essay / personal statement or writing component.
Test scores (SAT / ACT): optional — under the test-optional policy.
Recommended academic preparation in high school: 4 years English; 3 years Math; 2–3 years Natural Science; 2 Social Science; World language etc.
For College for Adults / transfer / nontraditional applicants:
• If fewer than 12 transferable college credits, must submit high school transcript or GED.
• If prior coursework completed outside the U.S., a course-by-course credential evaluation is required.
• English proficiency requirements if applicant’s first language is not English.
For international first-year students (College for Women international):
Applicants whose first language is not English must provide proof of English proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, or equivalent).
English test thresholds: e.g. TOEFL iBT 61, IELTS 6.0, Duolingo 85.
SAT / ACT or English test in reading & writing may also satisfy English requirement in some cases.
