University programs, courses and School
Students enrolled in the School of Medicine program spend two years studying the basic sciences, followed by access to clinical training opportunities at over 70 leading hospitals and health systems in the US and UK.
Entry points are available for students from any education system around the world—including a Four-year program for those entering with a traditional baccalaureate degree, and Five, Six, and Seven-year Preclinical programs for those entering with undergraduate degrees

Students begin their academic studies at the stunning True Blue campus, which rises atop a peninsula in the southwest corner of Grenada and is a beautiful combination of Georgian architecture visually enhanced with vivid Caribbean colors. More than 65 buildings spread across the vibrant seaside location. The campus is always expanding to keep up with the latest technologies and to provide students with the best learning environment. Major construction is currently underway on our new dormitory and fitness/group study center.
Thanks to a partnership between St. George’s University School of Medicine and Northumbria University in Newcastle, sgu gives international students the opportunity to earn an MD and complete up to 50% of their degree in the United Kingdom.
Ramaiah Group of Institutions and St. George’s University are working together to enable aspirants from India and around the world to obtain an internationally recognized degree. During the 5-year pathway, students will have the opportunity to experience global healthcare systems across several countries: Year 1 in India, Year 2 in the UK or Grenada, Year 3 in Grenada, and Years 4 and 5 in the US or UK.

The Faculty-Student Selection Committee uses a rolling admission policy; therefore, sgu accept and review applications on an ongoing basis.
The School of Medicine begins first-term classes in August, January, and April.
