UPSI is located in Tanjong Malim, Perak, which is approximately 70km north of Kuala Lumpur. The university operates two campuses: Sultan Abdul Jalil Shah Campus (KSAJS) in Tanjong Malim and Sultan Azlan Shah Campus (KSAS) in Proton City. Both campuses offer a calm, nature-filled setting that encourages creativity and collaboration.
UPSI fully operates campus hostels to facilitate safe and secure accommodations. Residential colleges include Aminuddin Baki College (KAB), Awang Had Salleh College (KAHS), Harun Aminurrashid College (KHAR), Ungku Omar College (KUO), and Za'ba College (KZ). The colleges are located 15 minutes away from Tanjong Malim town centre. Additionally, the University Residential & Community Center (URCC) is being developed as a major project designed to provide world-class accommodation for more than 2,500 students
Graduates can apply for a Graduate Pass (Social Visit Pass – Graduate), which allows them to stay up to 12 months to work, intern, or explore job opportunities after completing their studies
The PVPR (Program Visa Pass Residents) is a graduate work visa that must be applied for after graduation. Under the 2026 policy, the stay duration is tiered by qualification: 2 years for bachelor's degree holders, 3 years for master's degree holders, and 5 years for doctoral degree holders
