Tallinn University of Technology History

Tallinn University of Technology also known as TalTech is a technical university located in the city of Tallinn in Estonia. The university was established in year 1918 as a hub for studies in engineering and sciences. It was granted university status in 1936 and subsequently took over a number of institutions eventually adopting its present name in 2003.

Tallinn University of Technology offers 30 degree programs out of which 4 are undergraduate level, 18 are at graduate level, and 10 are at doctoral level. These programs are taught in English and in subjects such as Chemistry, Biotechnology, Earth Sciences, Power Electronics, Material Sciences, ICT, Civil Engineering, and Social Sciences.
Tallinn University of Technology comprises of 5 schools which are School of Engineering, School of Business and Governance, School of Science, School of Information Technologies, and Estonian Maritime Academy.
