Everything You Need to Know About Application Requirements at Technical University of Dresden

Applicants must hold a first professionally qualifying university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) from a recognized institution, in a relevant subject area. 

The degree must include relevant subject-specific knowledge/skills as defined by the particular Master’s programme (e.g., mathematics, programming, engineering fundamentals for technical programmes). 

Language proficiency:

For programmes taught in English: proof of English proficiency (e.g., TOEFL, IELTS) may be required — examples include B2 or higher; for Computer Science Master at TU-Dresden: English at B2. 

For programmes taught in German: German language skills required as applicable.

Program-specific documents: many programmes require CV, motivation letter, transcripts, sometimes proof of English or German language as above. 

Deadlines: For many Master’s programmes for non-EU applicants via uni-assist, deadlines often around 1 April – 15 July for winter semester entry.
