The Memorial Garden, which is situated on Nunn Mills Road between the River Nene bridges and beneath the Avon Cosmetics building, has been upgraded as part of the University College Northampton campus. With a large circle of benches facing a central planting area, the space is divided into a communal reflection area. On the elevated area away from the plants, we have also placed benches for users to utilise in a more private and contemplative fashion, facing the river. The public is welcome to explore the university's buildings and amenities. The public is encouraged to learn more about the history of the entire site by visiting the information boards that the university has placed at strategic points across the property. The sports fields are available for public rental, and they have provided support to a number of charitable organisations that have held events and activities on campus. The University consented to move its sculpture collection, which had been assembled as a result of generous donations to the University and its predecessor institutions, when we moved from our two previous locations.
