Students at UHI have access to a range of housing alternatives, such as on-campus residence halls and help locating private housing. These alternatives are explained in full on the UHI website. On-campus student housing with communal, self-catered apartments and cottages is available at several campuses, such as UHI Perth. There are self-catering lodging alternatives at other places, such as UHI North, West, and Hebrides, such as the Bayhead Bridge Centre in Stornoway. UHI Perth's fully furnished shared apartments and cottages give students separate living quarters with communal living and cooking areas. Single rooms with shared amenities (found on several campuses): these rooms usually have shared living and kitchen spaces, a closet, a study space, and storage.
