UIC Barcelona International University of Catalonia has two main campuses that together provide modern academic, practical and student-centric spaces. The Barcelona Campus is located in the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi area on the edge of the Collserola natural park and consists of four interconnected buildings.

International students must complete the official online admissions application through the UIC Barcelona admissions portal as the first step of the process. After application submission, the university will contact you with details about the required documentation you need to provide in order to proceed with admissions and sit the university’s entrance assessment. Hold a secondary school completion certificate equivalent to the Spanish Bachillerato (high‑school diploma). Non‑Spanish qualifications may need to be officially homologated/validated by the Spanish Ministry of Education before final enrolment if you are from a non‑EU system. Provide key documents such as a copy of your passport, academic transcripts/certificates (translated into Spanish if necessary), a passport‑size photo, proof of payment of any application and processing fees, and signed acceptance of UIC’s terms and conditions. Sit an online admission test, which includes general and programme‑specific parts as well as a personal interview (often conducted virtually). Admission offers are based on the results of this process. Depending on the language of instruction, you may need to demonstrate proficiency in Spanish or English for your programme. While UIC may accept various certificates or alternative proof (such as university‑issued language assessments), having a recognised certification at the required level can strengthen your application.

In cases where the final degree has not yet been awarded, a certificate of completed coursework or a transcript may be accepted initially. Along with these basic documents, UIC Barcelona recommends (and often requires) that you include a current curriculum vitae (CV) and a letter of motivation explaining your interest in the specific master’s programme. Your programme adviser will inform you if additional documents are required. Depending on the programme, you may need to sit an admission test and/or attend an online interview as part of the selection process. Results are usually communicated by email within about 15 days.
