What are the application requirements for undergraduate applications?

Applicants must have completed a recognized secondary school diploma that gives access to higher education in their home country. Diplomas such as the International Baccalaureate (IB) or European Baccalaureate are accepted without equivalency procedures. Students with most non-Belgian diplomas must obtain an official equivalence to the Belgian Certificate of Higher Secondary Education (CESS) from the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles. The equivalence request usually needs to be submitted before 15 July of the admission year. For many non-EU applicants, the university requires a minimum average of about 13/20 (around 65%) in the final secondary-school results to be considered for admission. Applicants generally must have completed their secondary education within the last 7 years prior to applying for a bachelor’s program. Since most undergraduate programs are taught in French, students must demonstrate sufficient proficiency in French to follow university courses successfully.

What are the application requirements for different graduate courses?

Applicants must hold a recognized bachelor’s degree (minimum three years of higher education or about 180 ECTS credits) in a relevant field. The degree must allow access to master’s studies in the country where it was obtained. For many programs especially for non-EU applicants the university expects a minimum academic average of around 13/20 (about 65%) in previous university studies. Applications are evaluated by the academic admissions committee of the faculty. Students must prove proficiency in the language of instruction: French-taught programs: proof of French language ability (usually B2 level). English-taught programs: tests such as IELTS (about 7.0), TOEFL iBT (around 95), or equivalent C1-level certification may be required depending on the program. International applicants generally need to submit: Completed online application form Bachelor’s degree certificate and academic transcripts Curriculum vitae (CV) Motivation letter explaining the study plan Language proficiency certificate Copy of passport or identity document. Some master’s programs may require additional coursework, entrance evaluations, or prerequisite subjects to ensure the applicant has the necessary academic background for the program.
