UE Amsterdam has a dedicated Career Centre that supports students in preparing for the job market and connects them with employers. The centre offers career counselling, workshops, internship guidance, resume and LinkedIn optimisation, and interview preparation, helping students build the skills and confidence needed for internships and graduate roles. It also organises networking events and employer-focused sessions where students can meet professionals and alumni. The Career Centre helps students identify and access internship opportunities, part-time positions, and career openings by sharing listings, advising on search strategies, and advising on market trends. They support students in finding practical work experience that counts towards graduation or enhances employability. UE Amsterdam hosts an Annual Job Fair where companies can present their organisation and meet students for potential internships, part-time jobs, traineeships, and junior roles. Alongside job fairs, the school collaborates with partners to run masterclasses and employer events, giving students direct exposure to recruiters and industry leaders.

In 2025, the university was honoured with the Iserlohn Integration Award, recognising its outstanding efforts in promoting diversity, international exchange, and inclusion within its academic community. The award reflects UE’s commitment to fostering a multicultural learning environment and supporting students from diverse backgrounds.
In 2024–2025, the University of Applied Sciences Europe was honoured with the German Education Award in the “Private Universities (Universal)” category, a prestigious accolade presented by the German news channel n-tv in cooperation with the German Institute for Service Quality (DISQ). This award was based on extensive feedback from around 38,000 consumers evaluating over 460 education providers, highlighting the university’s excellence in teaching quality, student satisfaction, and educational service delivery.
In 2024, UE also received the German Service Quality Award after strong evaluations in a consumer survey conducted by DISQ and n-tv. This recognition emphasised the institution’s high standards in areas such as student support, responsiveness, and overall service excellence among private higher education providers.
Additionally, in 2024, UE was featured as a “Top Media School” in FOCUS magazine based on customer feedback, underlining its reputation for quality education in media and creative fields within the context of private higher education.
University of Applied Sciences Europe Amsterdam focuses primarily on applied business innovation and student entrepreneurship rather than large-scale scientific research. In 2024, students developed the Beachkluis project, a secure beach locker solution created through the “Run Your Business” course and tested as a real-world pilot. The campus also supports student-led ventures such as fashion and e-commerce start-ups that emerge directly from coursework. Additionally, through participation in European initiatives like U!Innovate (2025–2027), the university contributes to climate-focused entrepreneurship and innovation development, emphasizing practical, industry-driven solutions over traditional laboratory research.
In May 2025, the U!Innovate initiative was launched as an innovation and entrepreneurship project funded through the European EIT Higher Education Initiative to foster climate-neutral and entrepreneurial activity in higher education institutions across Europe. While this project is led at a pan-European level, universities of applied sciences including partners in Amsterdam contribute to boosting innovation competencies, hybrid incubators, and climate solution scaling.
Although outside UE Amsterdam directly, Amsterdam’s broader academic ecosystem (including Amsterdam Academic Ventures) supports spin-offs and ventures from student and academic research across universities in the city; this ecosystem helps students and young founders turn academic insight into real-world companies, benefitting many UE Amsterdam students who engage in entrepreneurship within the city’s innovation environment.
Through collaborations with institutions such as Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS), there are ongoing applied innovation projects that students can contribute to, such as Fair Fashion (2024–2027) combining sustainable design with digital tools; DigiFABs (2024–2027) which equips students and SMEs with digital transformation capabilities; and other entrepreneurship-focused programmes aimed at boosting innovation and social enterprise skills among students. These projects integrate practical research, industry partnerships, and student engagement in solving real business challenges.
