University of Cambridge provides a wide range of accommodation for graduate students provided both by the colleges and the university. All first year undergraduate students of the university are offered college accommodation either on the main site of the college or in a college nearby. Numerous independent apartments and a few homes with one to three bedrooms are owned by the university. Nearly majority of them are located in Madingley and Cambridge, close to the city centre and the university's departments and faculties.
