1. Academic Requirements

High School Diploma (or equivalent) with a minimum passing grade in all subjects.

Transcripts of Records (official, sealed, and translated into Spanish if in another language).

Academic Equivalence Approval: Some countries may require validation of high school credentials by Cuban authorities (via the Ministry of Education in Cuba).

Entrance Exams: Certain programs (e.g., Medicine, Engineering) may require subject-specific entrance tests.

2. Language Proficiency Requirements

Since instruction is in Spanish, international students must prove proficiency:

A) Native Spanish Speakers:

Submit proof of prior education in Spanish (e.g., high school diploma from a Spanish-speaking country).

B) Non-Native Spanish Speakers:

DELE (Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera): Minimum B2 level is preferred.

University Spanish Test: If no DELE certificate, UCf may administer a placement test upon arrival.

Preparatory Spanish Course: Some students may need to complete a 1-year Spanish foundation program before starting their degree.

3. Documents Required for Application

All documents must be notarized and officially translated into Spanish (if in another language).

Mandatory Documents:

Completed Application Form (available via UCf’s International Office).

Passport Copy (valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended stay).

High School Diploma & Transcripts (certified copies).

Spanish Language Certificate (DELE B2 or equivalent, if applicable).

Medical Certificate (issued within the last 6 months, confirming good health).

Police Clearance Certificate (proof of no criminal record).

Letter of Motivation (in Spanish, explaining academic goals).

Two Recommendation Letters (from teachers/professors).

Additional Documents (if applicable):

Visa Application Form (D-2 Student Visa, submitted to the Cuban embassy).

Proof of Financial Means (bank statements or scholarship letters).

Health Insurance (valid in Cuba for the duration of studies).
