1. Academic Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree (Licenciatura or equivalent) in a related field from an accredited institution.

Minimum GPA: Typically 3.0/4.0 or equivalent (varies by program).

Official Transcripts (translated into Spanish and notarized).

Program-Specific Prerequisites: Some master’s programs (e.g., Engineering, Business, Public Health) may require prior coursework or professional experience.

2. Language Proficiency

Since instruction is in Spanish, international applicants must demonstrate proficiency:

A) Native Spanish Speakers:

Submit proof of prior education in Spanish.

B) Non-Native Spanish Speakers:

DELE (Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera): Minimum B2/C1 level (depending on the program).

Alternative: Pass a Spanish proficiency test administered by UCf (may be required upon arrival).

Exemption: If the applicant holds a degree from a Spanish-speaking institution.

3. Required Documents

All documents must be notarized and translated into Spanish (if in another language).

Completed Application Form (available via UCf’s International Office).

Passport Copy (valid for at least 6 months).

Bachelor’s Degree Certificate & Transcripts (certified copies).

Spanish Language Certificate (DELE B2/C1 or equivalent).

Curriculum Vitae (CV)/Resume (highlighting academic and professional experience).

Statement of Purpose (Motivational Letter) in Spanish (500–800 words).

Two Academic/Professional Recommendation Letters (preferably from professors or employers).

Medical Certificate (issued within the last 6 months).

Police Clearance Certificate (criminal background check).

Additional Documents (if applicable):

Research Proposal (for thesis-based programs).

Proof of Work Experience (required for some professional master’s programs).

Health Insurance (valid in Cuba).

Proof of Financial Support (bank statements or scholarship letters).
