The University of Córdoba—commonly referred to as UniCórdoba—is a public, departmental research university founded in 1962 in Montería, Córdoba, by Dr. Elías Bechara Zainúm  . Initially launched as an agronomic and veterinary educational center, it began classes in 1964 with 101 students.
