Documents:
Completed online application form.
Official high school transcripts/diploma (with transcripts translated into English if necessary).
Copy of valid passport (for international applicants).
Proof of English language proficiency if English is not the applicant’s first language.
For international applicants: proof of finances to cover tuition and living costs.
Entrance Test Requirements:
UGA is test-optional for first-year applicants: SAT or ACT scores may be submitted but are not mandatory for admission.
Applicants must have completed the “Required High School Curriculum” (RHSC) of the University System of Georgia: 4 units English, 4 units math, 4 units natural science, 3 units social studies, 2 units foreign language.
For transfer applicants with 60+ semester hours of transferrable credit, a minimum GPA of 3.00 is expected (for transfer consideration).
Language Test Requirements (for non-native English speakers):
TOEFL iBT: Minimum 80 (or equivalent).
IELTS Academic: Minimum overall band 6.5, with no section below 6.0.
Some cases: SAT Evidence-Based Reading & Writing score of 430 or ACT English score of 17 may serve as proof of English proficiency.
Waiver possible if applicant earned a degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction.
