Relevant Bachelor’s Degree / Equivalent Qualification
You must have completed a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a subject area related to the master’s programme you’re applying to.
Document Requirements
Degree diploma and certificate of your Bachelor’s program
Transcript of Records (showing courses, credits, grades) or Diploma Supplement
Valid identity document (copy of passport / ID)
Language certificate (German or English, depending on the programme)
For certain programmes (e.g. NAWI Graz, MBA, computational/social science), additional supplemental forms may be needed.
Evaluation / Admission Decision
Once your application is formally complete, it is forwarded to the Curricula Commission (CuKo), which evaluates whether you fulfill the curriculum’s admission requirements.
Possible outcomes:
• Admission without conditions
• Admission with conditions / supplementary examinations
• No admission
Application Deadlines & Enrollment
Applications must be submitted within the specified admission period.
If admitted, you submit the “Application for Enrollment” and pay necessary fees (ÖH or tuition) to be formally enrolled.
Special Cases / Alternative Pathways
For some non-consecutive master’s programmes, you may need to formally apply (even if your prior degree is related) and fulfill additional criteria.
In cases where applicants do not fully meet requirements (e.g. language, subject gaps), they may be admitted conditionally or required to complete supplementary examinations or coursework.
