UIS provides top-notch Graduate Assistantships (GA) and Graduate Public Service Internships (GPSI), which offer a monthly salary in addition to tuition reimbursement.

Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended must be given to the Office of Admission along with the student's completed application. Students who have completed a baccalaureate degree from any higher education institution regionally accredited by the North Central Association or any of the seven regional accrediting organizations and who have fulfilled all program requirements and prerequisites may be eligible for full admission to graduate studies. They must also have a minimum undergraduate grade-point average of 2.50 on a 4.00 scale.
 

Certain schools may provide conditional admission to a limited number of students and require higher grade point averages. Eight semester hours must be completed (no prerequisites) with a GPA of at least 3.0 in order to be eligible for conditional admission.
