1. Academic Requirements

Bachelor's Degree: In a related field (e.g., mining, metallurgy, petroleum, materials science).

Minimum GPA: Equivalent to Austrian "gut" (good) grade (typically 2.5/5.0 or top 50% of class).

Prerequisite Courses: Core STEM subjects relevant to the chosen master's program.

2. Language Proficiency

German-Taught Programs:

Goethe C1, ÖSD C1, or TestDaF TDN 4.

Conditional Admission: B2 German accepted if student completes Leoben's C1 prep course within 1 year.

English-Taught Programs (e.g., Advanced Materials):

IELTS 6.5+ or TOEFL 90+.

3. Program-Specific Requirements

Petroleum Engineering: Requires bachelor's in petroleum/mechanical/chemical engineering.

Industrial Environmental Protection: Background in chemistry/process engineering preferred.

Advanced Materials Science: Materials-related bachelor's + research experience valued.
